Akira Kurosawa

"I like unformed characters. This may be because, no matter how old I get, I am still unformed myself."

– Akira Kurosawa, a Japanese filmmaker and painter who directed 30 films in a career spanning over five decades. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential filmmakers in the...

Kurosawa knew. Awesome share.

Greg Wong

Kurosawa's Ikiru has been remade with Bill Nighy about a civil servant in post war Britain. The film is called Living. Not sure if it got released in the US. Saw it in London a couple of months back with a Q&A with Bill and producer Stephen Woolley.

Love it! Thanks for sharing, Tammy Hunt!

Awesome tip on "Living". I never would have found that one. Thanks, Greg!

"I'm Fed Up With This World"

I'm quoting the "best-worst" film, "The Room".

It also sums up my frustration in regards to my attempt to reach and get a response from  Mr. Tommy Wiseau, Re: my Library of Congress/WGA copywritten script, "The Room Pt.II- Johnny Back From The Grave!".

Revisiting characters, lines and situations, it...

"Oh, Hi Mark!"

I definitely think there are intellectual property rights issues you are up against, but maybe another creative way around it would be for you to create a social media account with various snippits of the comedy in your script that might capture the attention of Wiseau?

Jeremy Nordenschild

Thanks for responding. I have no IP rights on The Room, of course. What do you think snippets of the script should consist of? Written script excerpts that people can read, or performed excerpts peopl...

A friend says...

"I wouldn't post on stage32 or any place man. You know how it is. They steal your work, change it a little, call it theirs. The biz has been like this for like, ever"

My response... Uh, well, I hope you're wrong. But there must be some truth to it, too. If you're religious, pray. If you're not, pray anyway.

Don't worry about anyone stealing ideas! If it's a really good idea, I can assure you it's being done in parallel by someone else (or multiple other writers, including those working directly with/for...

It's not just ideas, Mark, it's nuggets, liners which could be put on a t-shirt or get the show going viral. It could be pitches, bits... details, clever names etc

Hello Everyone Reading This

I'm new as new is here, just put up info about myself (Who cares, right? Hopefully you). My next goal is to put up a sample of my writing, which is an entire hilarious script. Any fans of the "Best-Worst" movie, The Room, will definitely want to check it out! My problem is I have no idea how to post...

Kiril, if you can help me get it to Wiseau, you'll be part of the project then.

Jeremy Nordenschild

Maurice, I have my own original script as well, which is what I'm mainly focused on. But again, simply, fans of The Room, who see my Part II will go crazy in a good way. If the studios that filimed "T...

Jeremy Nordenschild You said, "*it's copywritten (WGA and Library of Congress)*," How were you able to register a script that's based on someone's movie?

Jeremy Nordenschild

Good question, Maurice. As far I know, I copywrote that which I created based off of it. I expect Tommy, who has the most to gain from this endeavor, to be the biggest challenge. His narcissism, which...
