A young man is kidnapped and forced into illegal fight tournaments with the brother of the gangster he accidently killed.

James Grant is a former soldier returning home, when he sees a woman attacked by a crazed man with a gun on the subway. A fighter from his service James intervenes and saves the woman Olivia Walker, but the shooter is accidentally killed. James is hailed as a hero and eventually he and Olivia begin dating, but due to the fact that shooter Tray Simon was black there are protest and many people think he should be in jail. Including Tray’s family including his brother Darius Simon when criminal charges against James are dropped due to the circumstances his family files a civil suit for wrongful death. Meanwhile after watching a video of the situation and seeing Darius fend off a group of people who supported James, the day before the civil suite is fully filed James and Darius are kidnapped by a man named Bernard Clayton who runs illegal underground fights and reveals he has Olivia and Darius’s girlfriend Clara hostage and forces them to fight against several fighters and killers.

James and Darius manage to win their fights and continue to rise up the ranks while James plans their escape, and the two find out that they will soon fight Clayton’s best fighter Rance who is known for killing his opponents and is a wanted cop killer, and Clayton expects them both to be killed. On the night of the fight Oliva and Clara manage to slip away from their cells and contact the police who call the FBI to assist in the rescue. James and Darius have no choice but to work together against Rance and manage to overpower and kill him, then when Claytin attempts to eliminate them the fed arrive and the criminals are arrested Clayton tries to escape but is killed.

After surviving the experience, the Simon family decides not to press charges and makes peace with James who marries Olivia.
