About Nathan

My unwavering desire to explore new experience after new experience throughout the course of my life has led me on a journey to a destination where being a storyteller is the most natural outcome. I have done everything from working at a gas station to owning a hotel and in those times learned about people from all walks of life and all different struggles and triumphs. I love to talk to strangers and I am a studios practitioner of my crafts.

I first read Syd Field's screenplay when I was ten years old. Since then I have read over 50 books on the craft of storytelling and screenwriting. I graduated from Pasadena City College's filmmaking program with certifications in both filmmaking and cinematography.

When I am lighting a scene I try really hard to channel Vittorio Storaro and make him marry Greg Toland. My influences as a director are Alfred Hitchcock, Sam Rami, and John Ford. As a writer, I have been told that my voice really is my own with an incredible capacity to write dialogue.

As a child, I was that weird kid that meditated under a tree at recess and as an adult, I'm that weird guy that stays up late into the evening studying philosophy and sciences. I do not feel I will ever be done learning, perhaps even when I'm dead.
