A cat call. A whistle. And then a terror you’ll never forget.
SYNOPSIS:
Monica Aaron has everything she could ever want: A valedictorian graduation from a top university, beauty, athletic skill, artistic skill, an engaging personality, and the love of her soon to be husband, sheriff’s officer Bruce Marshall, her childhood sweetheart she reconnected with while she was at university. On her first night home, after a graduation/welcome back party, Bruce pops the question in front of everyone she knows and, without hesitation, she accepts.
From that moment on, her attention is split between her new career as the new high school PE teacher and her upcoming wedding. Her friends, Veronica Potter, Colton Smith, and Alvin Black, help her with the wedding planning. All seems perfect.
A few nights later, as she lays down to sleep, she is kept away by cat calling whistles outside her second floor bedroom window. Each time she checks, it disappears, but then is followed by a moaning giggle.
At first, she thinks nothing of it, but then the whistler starts getting more brazen and more violent in his stalking:
Each time something like this happens, the whistler shows up to whistle at her, but each time someone shows up to investigate, the whistler vanishes as if they didn’t exist. Bruce takes it upon himself to investigate, but Sheriff Richard Lexington informs him that he is not qualified to because of the emotional connection.
After the murder of her cat, Monica demands investigations and Bruce disobeys his orders. Sheriff Lexington orders him off, but promises to do everything he can. The whistling continues, but after Monica is knocked to the ground with Alvin, the whistler ups his game to get people out of the way of people keeping the whistler from their target. The whistler murders Alvin, Veronica, and Colton, in various ways, making them appear to be suicide or accidental.
Monica is taken, for her safety, to her family’s. This prompts the whistler to start making threatening phone calls and brutally attacking Colton for taking Monica away.
After Monica feels safe and Colton heals, Bruce and Monica marry and go on their honeymoon. Upon return, Bruce goes out on his night shift patrol and the whistler finally attacks, screaming if the whistler can’t have Monica, no one will. A cat a mouse game occurs as Monica tries to run and call help. Sheriff Lexington shows up and Monica watches the whistler murder him in front of her, only to be told she is all alone. She decides to fight back, using her training and fitness.
Bruce goes to the station and is told the Sheriff hasn’t come back. He realizes there is problem as this is against Lexington’s nature. He is the closest officer, and races against time to get to his wife.
Monica fights the whistler off, but as she close to safety, the whistler attacks her. Just as the whistler is about to finish her off, Bruce arrives and empties his clip into the whistler. After checking on Monica, he investigates to see a voice changing device in a pool of blood and the smell of expensive designer perfume. The whistler is gone, and Bruce is horrified to think the whistler might have been a woman, rather than a man as was always expected.
