The aging canine patriarch of the local junkyard dynasty considers retirement, transferring control of his empire to his not-too-bright son, but the other Good Boys decide to vie for the Dogfather’s favor, and his empire.
SYNOPSIS:
A ‘woof’ on The Godfather and Goodfellas (and The Sopranos for good measure), The Junkyard Dogfather will begin each episode with a voiceover (a narrator reminiscent of The Wonder Years—or Henry Hill from Goodfellas). The comedy takes place in ‘the good old days’ of the 1980s, before cell phones, when you still had to tap phones from the back of a white van.
The series will follow the group as they try to influence The Dogfather, hoping they’re the ‘chosen one’. There will be hilarious tasks the Dogfather sets for them—tasks they’ll fail. We’ll see Sonny trying to impress his father and failing. Plus, the FCIs (‘feces’) will keep trying to throw the dogs in the pound every chance they get. The Dog Catcher is behind the FCI stings, and he will be setting up The Good Boys in many episodes, trying to get them caught and thrown behind bars.
