HEALING WATERS
By Timika Chambers

GENRE: Drama, Family
LOGLINE:

A newly-appointed Chief Medical physician must overcome his skepticism about supernatural healing to save his son from dying of the same cancer that his mother succumbed to.

SYNOPSIS:

A recently appointed Chief Medical Physician at a prestigious hospital and research center appears to have it all until we find out that his son has terminal cancer, the same disease his mother succumbed to years earlier. As the newly appointed Chief Officer of Rise Memorial Hospital and Research Institute, Dr. Blanton is determined to find a medical cure for his son. But, the night before his family leaves for a short vacation and before the new drug, Fantaza, trials begin, Dr. Blanton goes missing. Presumably, the next morning, Dr. Blanton wakes up on an island with amnesia and is a guest to nature-sent Native American missionaries sent to restore the connection between the spiritual world and the waters. Initially, Dr. Blanton resists his call from nature, but saves his son after healing his wounds.

What type of physician? What type of cure? Dies of what?

Timika Chambers

Hi Rose! Thank you so much for responding....a Medical physician and cancer?

Rose Scott

Wow! What an improvement. I don’t see the relevance of “newly appointed”

SAMPLE Logline: In "Healing Waters," a skeptical Chief Medical Physician must embrace supernatural healing when he mysteriously disappears to an island with amnesia, encountering Native American missionaries who reveal a spiritual connection to the waters that could save his terminally ill son.”

NB. I don’t consider this sample complete, it just tries to match your synopsis more.

Timika Chambers

Thanks Rose!! I will be working on both loglines and synopsis this week. I appreciate your input!!

Rose Scott
