SURVIVAL LESSONS

SURVIVAL LESSONS
By Serge Korski

GENRE: Comedy, Adventure
LOGLINE: This is a story about one ordinary guy. He decides to singlehandedly defy the wilderness in order to understand his real worth in this world.

SYNOPSIS:

Marty works in a zoo. Without any outstanding talents, he lives an ordinary life. He has just one best friend, Reggie. They have always supported each other in everything. One day, there is an accident in the dolphinarium. A boy falls into the pool. And Marty races to save him, even though he himself doesn’t know how to swim. While saving the boy, Marty nearly drowns, but everything turns out well. After this event, he starts thinking about his place in the universe. On top of it all, he falls in love with his best friend’s girlfriend but dares not tell her about it, because for Marty friendship is not an empty word. And so, Marty sets off into the wilderness – Alaska – in order to conquer his fears, get some spunk, and become a real man. Marty had not been a professional solider and did not have any special training. He sets off into the wilderness having only seen a few TV shows about survival in the wilderness and after finishing a “survival course” in the city. In the wild, he encounters all kinds of situations that he manages to deal with in his own clumsy way. And yet, despite it all, he manages to return home.
