Does anyone use SmartSound’s Sonicfire Pro? I read about many libraries on this site, most of which I’ve never heard of. If there are any Sonicfire Pro users out there, I’d be interested to discuss and compare.

I signed up on this site about a year ago and I’m finally jumping in to say “Hey” and see who’s out there. Me: I enjoy every aspect of filmmaking (don’t know much about theater) EXCEPT being in front of a camera. If the right incentive presents itself, I’ll even do that. If not, I’ll stay behind the scenes.
So glad you took the initiative to introduce yourself, Ben! I hope this introduces you to connections and opportunities that can change your life :)
Thanks, Shannon. I've always taken pride in my reclusive nature. We'll see what happens.
Written by Trina Sterling and Tracy Crews, “Hazardous Play” is the tale of two young girls and a dispute over a boy. They get into a fight and are taken to the Youth Detention Center where, aided by a Bible study, they reconcile and become friends. I was hired as Cinematographer. In this scene (which I cut together and scored), a fellow inmate tells the other girls about the circumstances leading to her incarceration.
Paper and Ink is a narrative feature that I wrote, directed, and produced. Jim Davenport is a sheriff’s deputy and part of his job is to evict people from their homes after the lender has foreclosed. Although he’s been doing this for years, he notices that, after the 2008 downturn, the people being evicted are closer to his own economic level—certainly not the deadbeats they’re made out to be. Concerned by this, he begins to educate himself regarding the characteristics of capitalism and the fundamentals of the monetary system. In this scene, he discovers that paper money is called “fiat” currency and shares this newfound information with his wife, Jenn.

This is the first I've heard of Sonicfire Pro... So it's a music library finder tool, that you can change "stems" otherwise known as moods on the fly? Cool concept of getting you the cut you need quickly.

For example, if you like the melody in a 6-piece ensemble but you don’t like the percussion part, you can turn that part down or eliminate it altogether. It’s really quite flexible. The recordings are good and there is a wide variety of styles. No, I’m not a representative for the company. I’ve just used the product for several years and would like to develop a dialog with other users.
Interesting, a lot of other music library companies to similar things. These guys are pretty inexpensive. You should also look at Extreme Music, Killer Trax, MegaTrax, Brand X, etc.. if you want some other options.
