He shared his vision, some of the story elements, main protagonist, where it's based, how it could be shot etc.
He's suggested we do this together, with a firm date for filming in mind . . . February 2020.
And you know what? I said YES. Let's do it.
I should also mention, there a few tiny details to be worked out . . . like you know, the actual screenplay, equipment, budget, cast, crew. Minor stuff.
But we have a title and a poster, the important stuff is sorted . . .
We're going to VLog the whole process from start to finish, even if the end result is failure. It will be a journey, learning experience and social experiment. We may even have a feature at the end!
Go for it! :) All the best...

Congrats! ....Sorry, gotta point out a typo in your poster above, should be “it’s” not “its.” “It’s (it is) coming 2020.” No possessive pronoun whether you are referring to “it” the film or “it” a monster. If a monster, then something like “it is coming” or “It Comes in 2020” would be more clear. Or maybe avoid the whole thing and just say “Coming in 2020.” Lol! Add an awesome tagline instead. Ugh, advertising, marketing! Whatta pain. Anyhoo, hope all goes well! Good luck!

Expand commentEoin and Paul, Before I wish you, "Break Legs," as we say in New York, a bit of advice. GO OUT AND GET an EXPERIENCED PRODUCER to help you with so many important elements. To help you stretch your budget - sounds like a "microbudget" feature - or possibly help you raise more. To help you cast known actors: There are plenty of known character actors, actors who have a great value in the horror genre and recognizable faces that can help you GET DISTRIBUTION. A producer, who already has some potential distributors in their mind and a marketing plan with the kind of film festivals that would play your film - and get it some more much-needed publicity. I producer that may know a publicist who will work for cheap or free and who has connections with press and other web-sites. A producer with a social media presence and who has experience crewing up. A producer who knows several known - and talented, young - D.P.s that own their own RED camera. My suggestion: DON'T just make a throwaway movie that you VLOG about that's a social experiment. Make a movie that plays in festivals with recognizable faces, that is a great calling card and gets some form of distribution and is something you can build off of. Not just say, "That was interesting and fun and we learned a lot. I mean, we lost all our money and are still seeking distribution, but it was some kind of journey." You will NEVER get this time back again. You can get actors that mean something in this genre and a great D.P. that owns their own camera. But, do yourselves a favor and get an experienced producer first. You can do it! And, now, I say to you: BREAK LEGS! GOD BLESS and STAY FRESH! <3
