Expand postMyself and fellow filmmaker Alrik Bursell created a podcast called "Making Movies is Hard” we thought you might be interested in http://www.makingmoviesishard.com The idea is simple: each week talk honestly about the struggle of pursuing a career in film and share our experience and knowledge about independent filmmaking. The struggle is real. Between us, our movies have played at over 30 film festivals, received 100,000 views on-line, and my film “The Spirit Machine” was the most-funded short of all time on Kickstarter. But despite our success, we’re still struggling to turn our hobby into a full-time profession. Then we read that 12,000 films were submitted to Sundance this year, but less than 200 screened, and it dawned on us: there are a lot of other filmmakers out there, just like us, going through the same thing! So we started a podcast to share our experience and provide a community for the struggling independent filmmaker. You can check out the podcast and learn more about us at http://www.makingmoviesishard.com or subscribe to us on iTunes, Stitcher, or wherever you listen to podcasts.
Hey Timothy, this is Beth from the Stage 32 team. I just wanted to let you know I moved your post from Filmmaking / Directing to Your Stage, as it fits much better there. Let me know if you have any questions, and all the best to you!

Expand postHi there. As a producer for Goodby Silverstein & Partners, I crafted my storytelling skills on everything from no-budget web videos to million dollar TV campaigns, producing and directing more than 200 commercials including award-winning campaigns for the NBA, Cheetos, Nintendo and Rolling Rock. My short film, Man’s Best Friend screened in 2010 at the CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival, Bumbershoot’s 1 Reel Film Festival, and Cinequest, where I was just one of 20 filmmakers invited to compete in the SanDisk Phone Flick contest. And most recently, my film, The Spirit Machine, was the most funded short of all time on Kickstarter after raising $96,000 in just 21 days. I am currently working on a screenplay adaptation of the New York Times bestselling book “Nick of Time” by Ted Bell and looking for my first feature film project. Don't be shy. I'd love to hear from you.
Based on the New York Times' best selling book Nick of Time by Ted Bell.
The year is 1939, and Nick McIver, a 12-year old boy, is the only one that can prevent the Nazis from invading England, but to do so, he must travel back in time and stop the notoriously evil pirate, Billy Blood in the year 1805.
With their relationship at its breaking point, an irresponsible father and his teenage daughter discover the resting place of Thomas Edison’s final invention (a machine to communicate with the dead) but after they accidentally open a portal to the other side, Randy and Jane must learn to work together to stop an army of evil spirits from invading our world. (The Spirit Machine)
