My suggestion about that Baltimore area was that it has lots training and theatre work.However, if you're already SAG, then moving is an option. If you love NYC, do it, there is enough going on for anyone. However the ability to both live and work financially in both LA and NYC is difficult. I agree that Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta are all viable options.

T Y, You really need to be in a city before anyone will be willing to mess with you. In order to find agents, simply google, Chicago theatrical agents or go to the SAG webpage for a list. Same with CDs. Sending a P&R won't get you far.My book which gives all this info, The Actor's Business Plan will be released in October through Bloomsbury Press. It will be on Amazon. I looked at your reel and you have talent and charm. I still suggest that you get some training under your belt in order to be taken seriously. Without it, you may be cast in small roles, but will be stuck there. There is great training in NYC and in Chicago.

It sounds pretty cool. I'm curious, is it high budget? Location heavy or light? It sounds like a good film, but it seems like slashers get a little less play today then other horror sub-genres, usually getting made on the lower budget end. Might be a marketing angle if you can claim it's a cheap film to make (easier returns).

We need people who push the boundaries of stage and film. This is where the classics come from.

My brother Sam and i are brokers and writers. We are currently sourcing financing for several movies both domestic and foreign. My brother has a first draft finished and a book published. I am working on my first draft and have a children's book published.

I'll start the search this evening and I'll send you what interests I get. I'm prepared to grovel or do whatever it takes. I remember how grueling it was. I used to be with an agency but modeling not entertainment but it was still tough. It taught me how to have thick skin. Thanks for your help.

Uphill battle. The key to getting anything done in television these days is getting a "name" showrunner attached. How do you get a name showrunner? Therein lies the rub. You'll have to lock down representation for yourself and your material first. Follow the advice you've already been given and seek an agent or manager. You're going to get a lot of "no," replies, but as I've stated in other Lounge rooms, each "no" gets you closer to "yes." You didn't specify whether you're a writer, writer/producer or writer/director. If you're on a producer track, you could go about raising funds to produce the pilot and use the completed pilot as your sales pitch. Whichever way you decided to go, I wish you the best!
