I'm incredibly proud of this short. I went into it extremely nervous (I'm primarily an actor and this was my first time taking on the director's mantle) but the cast and crew made this thing shine. It's a lighthearted comedy trying to blend modern humor with some Billy Wilder-esque screwball comedy. I hope you enjoy it!

I'm not entirely sure if this is the right board, I didn't see one specifically for festivals. I recently directed my first short, it's all finished and we've been submitting to festivals; we wanted to hold a premiere in the city in May, something we can have our friends and family come to as well as invite agents, press, and the like. However, I also know that a lot of festivals want exclusivity; would a festival be upset if we held a one-time theatrical screening and reject us based on that?

I recently directed my first short film, and while it's nearly complete we still need to get it through sound design, color grading, and scoring. I've attached the trailer made with what we have so far, and the reaction has been astounding, with over 1,500 views in the first five hours. Our plan is to premiere at Palm Springs, but we need a little help with funding to make sure we get there; our Kickstarter is almost funded, but with two days left we're hoping to find some investors interested in an Executive Producer credit to throw in a few hundred. Hey everybody, I've been doing film for the last five years; though I started as an actor, I started editing and writing and doing pretty much everything else. At this point, I'm about to direct a large-scale project for the first time. The script is a fairly original comedy that I've worked on quite a bit, and we have an incredible cast and crew attached--I can't stress how surprised I've been by how well everything's gone, outside of the funding. Our crowdfunding campaign isn't going terribly well, and while I'm developing backup plans I would love it if you guys could take a look at it.
