When an aging assassin's cover is blown and he learns to his dismay that his daughter has become a hitman too, father and daughter must overcome their disagreements and combine forces against his enemies.
SYNOPSIS:
Aging superspy ALLARD DOYLE messes up a hit because of back problems brought on by years of abuse on his aging body. He limps home to his spy agency, where he is retired against his will. For the first time in decades he has no exotic locale to jet off to and no world-saving mission to perform.
He meets up with his estranged daughter CATRIONA (“CAT”) ROMANO, who unknown to him actually completed the assassination he failed at, but their reunion is marred by an attack from a North Korean hit team out for his blood. How did they find him? To his shock, his daughter helps fight off the killers and announces she’s become a hitman like him – in fact, she was just hired by the CIA to kill him!
Allard is upset that Cat has gone into the family business, which he carefully hid from her all her life. “Lied to her all her life” is how Cat would put it. He orders her to stop killing people but she stubbornly sticks with him and proves her worth by saving his life again and again.
They find out that Allard’s identity was hacked from his agency’s computers, making him a security risk and marking him for death by his own agency. Who hacked the info?
The search leads to LORENZO, Allard’s bastard half-brother. Lorenzo is a brilliant sociopathic arms dealer that Allard thought he’d killed years ago, but Lorenzo survived with the help of cybernetic enhancements that disfigure him but make him a formidable foe, and Lorenzo wants revenge. Lorenzo sold the stolen information to five of Allard’s bitterest enemies. While Allard and Cat fend off their attacks, Lorenzo will sell to the highest bidder his new weapon: an electromagnetic pulse bomb that can wipe out all electronics in a city.
Allard and Cat have to fight off an international rogues’ gallery of killers as well as agents from their own team while they somehow stop Lorenzo. It turns into a full family affair when Allard’s PTSD-plagued older brother BAYARD DOYLE is dragged in, and when they try to keep Allard’s ex-wife ARIA ROMANO from finding out she’s in the middle of a spy war.
But Lorenzo has one last trick: he isn’t selling the bomb, he’s setting it off! To kill the Russian ambassador and start a war that will be very good for his business.
Can Allard and Cat stop the super-powered Lorenzo from starting a war? And can they do it without killing each other over their father-daughter issues?
