Are there ANY happening at a cafe or somewhere less noisy and crazy, so you can actually converse with people in the industry?? What about the ones who are NOT the club/lounge types? I've been to a few of those lounge events and honestly I hated it! It felt like a regular night out at the a club and instead of people networking and being PROFESSIONAL, to exchange info in hopes to eventually work with each other..it became a "pick up" event. So uncomfortable, especially for the women. I know I was. Plus it was SO LOUD how could ANYONE know what the hell the other was saying??

Hi, Joey, Thanks! I have trained, took many classes here. However not at the moment, I find it's a very different learning experience when on set and more dynamic.

The FF[sec]FF is designed to put access to a film competition within the reach of any talented individual. All you need is a camera-phone and an idea. Or a friend with a camera-phone and an idea, for that matter. We are seeking to recognize the greatest 15-second movie ever made... Seriously. No entry fee, no stuffy rules, anyone can compete. It’s mostly for fun but there are $16,000 of prizes and we are supported by people like CBS/Showtime and a bunch of other generous and serious folks. Technically, the movie can be anywhere between 15-30 seconds and can be made on a smartphone or a big budget studio lot. Just come here; http://ffsecff.wix.com/1 We’ll tell you all you need to know. And don’t be shy about telling some friends. Thanks, MobGenius
