A struggling filmmaker borrows money from the Chicago mafia
to produce a feature film musical that he never completes, so the
mob kills his pregnant wife for not paying back the cash, which ignites
a fire in the vigilante on a quest for revenge.
SYNOPSIS:
Harrison LeRoy Levy was a remarkably handsome man, living a picture-perfect life alongside his adorable pregnant wife, Michelle, and their meticulously groomed Pomeranian, Duke. As the happy couple sings the song ‘Instead You Gave’, Harrison eagerly shares his good news with Michelle that he’s found a potential new investor that would allow him to finally complete his musical ‘Hot Damn!’. However, their idyllic existence takes a dark turn when they incur the wrath of Dante Blaze, the formidable leader of the Chicago mob and the initial investor in Harrison’s musical. Angered by Harrison’s unsettled debt, Dante, and his group of assassins - the five destroyers who are Freddy Twinkle, Kit Telluride, Min Xiao, Onyx Mortal, and Ivan “Novocain” Baranov - enact their fury on Harrison. He’s tortured, his wife and dog are hung by a noose, and his house is wrecked. Left for dead in the confines of a corpse barn dumpster, Harrison miraculously clings to life. As he regains consciousness, his eyes, once filled with love, are now consumed by a burning rage. In this pivotal moment, Harrison makes a solemn vow to avenge his wife's death by whatever means necessary.
A haunting burlesque show and song entitled ‘A Sheep No More’ takes place while Harrison slow dances with Michelle and Duke’s lifeless bodies before laying them to their final rest. He borrows a horse, Rapunzel, from a local farmer, Baxtor, gearing up for his vigilante-revenge mission. Determined, he downs a bottle of bourbon and rides off backwards on the horse, lighting a cigarette as he embarks on his journey. Harrison tends to his wounds at a nearby hardware store and burger joint. The employees groove to the rhythm of the song ‘Hot Damn!’, while Harrison fantasizes exacting his revenge on the dead-beat mobsters that ruined his life and massacred his wife. Fueled by cheeseburgers, Harrison scribbles his 'Big, Bad Revenge To-Do List' on a burger wrapper with a crayon. Harrison takes an Uber home to complete his first task; retrieving his wedding ring. He is enraged when he arrives home to see a half-naked Freddy, a sleazy boxer slash street fighter vagrant, devouring his last Pop Tart. Ignited by rage, a dueling dance knife fight ensues between Harrison and Freddy to the song ‘Nice Knife for a Walk’, escalating as their surroundings catch fire. Harrison manages to overpower Freddy, ultimately killing him, and crosses off another item on his to-do list. Despite the initial shock of killing someone, Harrison embraces his newfound identity as a vengeful force. With his house ablaze, he rescues his pet fish, Teddy, and escapes through a window, taking refuge in his neighbor's pool house. Energized, Harrison drives off in his minivan to tackle the next task. To get weapons. Lots n’ lots of weapons. Shortly after Harrison arrives at his constantly catastrophizing brother Lefty's farm bomb shelter, a missile mistakenly destroys his minivan. Following decontamination, Harrison gains access to his brother's fortified shelter, which boasts an impressive armory and even a chicken and waffles restaurant. Lefty assists Harrison in locating his next target and gifts him with a 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible. With a stockpile of weapons and booze, Harrison embarks on his mission to confront Kit, a tech-savvy parkour legend, at a comic bookstore. Following an intense parkour hip-hop battle set to the adrenaline-pumping beats of the song ‘The Kit Ultimatum’, Kit escapes and alerts Dante to Harrison’s survival. Infiltrating Kit's hotel room, Harrison subjects him to torture, extracting Min's location before sending Kit hurtling off a thirty-story balcony, crashing into and destroying Harrison’s car. At Min's underground casino, Harrison engages in a winner-takes-all duel against the fierce ex-wrestler. Their clash begins with a medieval sword fight to the pulsating beats of EDM. The song ‘A Piece of Min’ transitions into a dramatic 'Piano Duel to the Death' track. Harrison eventually stabs Min in the neck, killing her, but not before she reveals the location of his next target, Onyx, the German kickboxer with a heavy accent. Refueling with a milkshake, Harrison reflects on his vengeful journey, relishing the growing satisfaction he finds in his pursuit. With unwavering determination, nothing can stand in the way of completing his revenge-driven to-do list.
Harrison journeys to Mackinac Island, hoping to find Onyx in a bluegrass techno band at an underground rave in St. Ann's Cemetery. Guided through a candlelit tomb, he enters a dilapidated eerie hospital emergency room where Onyx and zombies serenade and dance to the haunting melody of 'A Candlelight Doom'. Engaged in an epic rap battle, Onyx delivers a powerful spin kick, rendering Harrison unconscious. He awakens on the deck of the Maiden's Voyeurism boat on Lake Michigan shackled and tied to cinder blocks. Ivan, a gay, beast of a man and Dante’s right-hand man attacks Harrison, who falls off the boat with the cinder blocks. Harrison manages to escape from his suspected underwater grave. Harrison makes it back on the boat where he is then confronted by Ivan and his crew. A huge fight ensues. Ivan attacks with Systema martial arts, while Onyx utilizes her kickboxing prowess as they both assault Harrison to the rhythm of the song 'Slow Down, Don't Russian'. Harrison retaliates, fatally striking Onyx with an arrow. A high-speed boat chase ensues, culminating in a fierce fistfight between Ivan and Harrison, with the backdrop of the song 'The Windmill of Death'. Ivan meets his demise when his neck snaps while hanging from a windmill. With five assassins eliminated and no leads on Dante's whereabouts, Harrison's hope wavers. Blood seeps from his body and he almost dies when he sees a vision of Michelle, who gives him the strength to go on. He gets a phone call from his brother that brings him renewed optimism. Lefty has tracked down Dante, and the reconciled brothers join forces to bring down the head of the Chicago mob.
Harrison and Lefty finally are on the same page and sing in harmony. Harrison reaches the pinnacle of his journey as he engages in an epic tap dance battle with Dante, set to the tune of 'Lend Me Your Ear'. In the final showdown at Occidendum Lanes, Harrison defeats Dante after a heated battle. They end up in a fancy restaurant filled with patrons and zombies, where Dante proposes they work together to take over the town, but Harrison refuses. Harrison finally has his revenge and slays Dante, completing his revenge mission, and tries to save his brother Lefty, who dies in his arms. Harrison fulfills his revenge, crosses off "Destroy Dante" from his list, and leaves a weathered mess.
Harrison makes it back to Michelle and Duke’s graves, where he says goodbye and Harrison dies. Baxtor finds Harrison’s body and calls 911. EMT’s resuscitate Harrison when he receives a phone call from an unknown caller, offering him a job that he seems interested in. Harrison agrees and gets a photo of a man saying, ‘Next hit.’ He’s now an assassin. Rapunzel, the black horse, runs free through the wilderness.
