About Matt

Matt Hausmann is a screenwriter, filmmaker, editor, graphic artist, and prop master. Matt started his career in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Los Angeles in 2003 to pursue his filmmaking dreams. He wrote and directed the award-winning short film, "The Bigfoot Hunters," which screened at film festivals and comic cons around the United States and Canada. The film won best of fest, best costumes, best editing, best ensemble cast, and best actor at assorted festivals. Hausmann wrote and directed other short films: “The Case,” “The S Block,” “The Hausmann Guide to the Apocalypse,” and “Wonder Charlie and the Wrath of the Corn,” In addition, he's shot two web series, “Star Covid” and “SFU Daily News Briefings.” All available on his YouTube channel:

Matt has also worked in the art and prop department on such feature films as Flags of our Fathers, Interstellar, Welcome to Collinwood, Divergent, American Splendor, Waitress, The Prestige, Magnificent Desolation, the Invasion, Bumblebee, Letters from Iwo Jima, Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Spider-man: No Way Home, the Killer, and the Fabelmans.
