A heartbroken, widowed Broadway singer and his children find happiness again when the music comes to life. 

SYNOPSIS:

After the sudden death of their loving mother from an unfortunate piano accident, widower, CHARLES CRISTOF and his children, little SALLY and WILLIAM, can no longer find the joy in music and their lives. Whilst struggling to keep his family together, Charles avoids the unwelcome advances of his snooty neighbor/Landlord, aging Diva, ALEXANDREETA VON BROMSTIEN, a failed Opera singer, with her own tragic past.

Along comes TAMOU, a warm, Trinidadian woman, who brings a book filled with stories from her foreign land... and lots more: it’s a magical book with a long history, that brings musical instruments to life and is the ‘home’ to 7 little musical instruments, MIKEY P, the bling-wearing microphone, MONICA, the bluesy harmonica, KEITH the Cowboy Guitar, SAL, the slightly psychic cynical Sax, RUPERT, the gentlemanly violin, CLASH, the sensitive cymbals, and ANTONIO the flamenco guitar.

The Cristofs’ are not the only ones to witness the magic of what the book holds. So does Alexandreeta. She steals it, planning to take over the music for herself. Unbeknown to Alexandreeta, the book self destructs in 24 hours rather than be controlled by one person. The book must be recovered before all the music in the world is gone forever and in so doing, the Cristofs’ must rediscover the music in their own lives...
