Low-cost hi-def cameras, affordable editing software. And now -- with You Tube and others -- distribution and sponsorship are out there. I don't have some dynamic action plan. I'm just curious. My background is in TV news and now in acting. (I'm in TV commercials and I narrate audiobooks.) Who's out there? Who's doing what? I'm based in New York City. I'd love to share ideas.

I'm interested in exploring ideas about short episodic entertainment programming, similar to what's now on You Tube.
Susan, I appreciate your invitation to join your network. Your blog interests me. Much more edgy than the Sunday book review section of the NY Times. I'm a former news writer and now doing narrating audiobooks. A clarification: I'm not sure there's any such thing as a FORMER news person of any flavor. I think it's like being a doctor. Once you're in, you're in for life. I'm a news guy who's not reporting news any longer. But I still have the annoying curiosity that drew me to news in the first place.
Thanks for the comment. I know blog is read but rarely hear feedback. I am freer than the Sunday Times sans editorial board, deadlines, or payment. Heard they might consider me for assignments, so per...

Heard they might consider me for assignments, so perhaps the last will change. I review for the discipline of it and love of books. Narrating audio books sounds like a great outlet for that--payment and reading. Keep your curiosity. Keeps one alive--if not overwhelmed. Thanks again.
I used to do head shots in the 70s when it was all film and almost all black an white. I've now morphed into an actor: TV commercials and audiobooks. But I still shoot. I'm now shooting with a Canon 5D Mark 2.

Responding many years too late Luis R. Quintero but I'd choose Nia Vardalos. She's the reason I wrote my first screenplay and I'd love to star in my own uplifting comedies as she has as well!...

Some of my favourite comedians started in Vaudeville or radio. I relate to Jack Benny because our personalities are similar and our comedy style are very much alike and he has a certain sarcasm that I also have.
I know it's probably cliche, but I'd have to say Spielberg. The guy has been my top film and storytelling influence literally since I was a kid.
