After a promising Indigenous boxer suffers a devastating loss, he struggles with his own dark addictions, while seeing his daughter grow into the fighter he once was.
SYNOPSIS:
Indigenous boxer earns his shot at the world championship title, but in a blink of an eye, his life takes a tragic turn when his wife and career are taken from him. Left to raise their daughter on his own in the Indian reservation, he struggles to keep up with life. Now with his daughter grown up and wanting to pursue a career of her own in boxing, he must help her reach her goal of becoming the world champion.

How about "An indigenous boxer struggles with his own dark addiction after suffering a devastating loss." I would keep it to one person as far as the protagonist and maybe tag on something at the end regarding the conflict with the loss or something specific regarding the addiction - something that is risk-laden. Something internal or external in conflict.

Or if the daughter is the main character - "An indigenous woman must overcome obstacles when learning to become a pro boxer while also watching her father struggle with his own dark addiction."
