I'm excited to share my half-hour comedy series, The Adventures of Eddie & Derwood, a sharp, character-driven buddy comedy set in the scruffy underbelly of Hampton Beach, New Hampshire — a place where dreams go to nap and scam artists age like expired seafood.

LOGLINE: Two washed-up hustlers living in a dumpy winter rental in a struggling beach town dream up low-level cons to survive — but every scheme explodes in their faces, dragging them deeper into absurd misadventures, angry locals, and each other’s dysfunctional orbit.

SYNOPSIS:

The pilot episode, The Urn, kicks off the series with a bang — literally — as Eddie, the self-proclaimed “King of the Con,” convinces Derwood to steal a valuable-looking urn from a mansion only to discover it contains the ashes of a woman’s late husband... and triggers an attack from her Cujo-like bull mastiff. By morning, the duo are bandaged, broke, and hunted by the cops — and that’s before the eBay listing even goes live.

Each episode is a standalone, madcap heist or scheme — from stealing a talking parrot from a meth dealer, to faking a celebrity appearance for a beachfront bar, to launching a one-day detective agency. But underneath the laughs is a twisted bromance between two lovable losers who can’t stand each other — but can’t survive without one another.

I've completed the pilot (The Urn) and a full season arc with twelve finished episodes. The tone is darkly funny but warm, in the spirit of Trailer Park Boys, My Name is Earl, or It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, with the small-town texture and quirky criminal misfits of Better Call Saul.

As the author of the 8-book Hampton Beach, NH crime series featuring Dan Marlowe, my work has been praised for its gritty humor, vivid characters, and strong sense of place. The Adventures of Eddie & Derwood draws from the same world but dives full-tilt into comedy — built for both network and streaming audiences.
