Jamie, a young black genius,  sheltered by his mother who is doing all she can to try to protect him from the evils of the world, but finds that secrets about his father and his Grandfather/ widowed Rabbi struggling with the complex relationship and death of his son and secret Grandson. Jamie finds himself in a life-threatening dilemma with hopes that his Common Sense speech prevents his premature death.
