A good tool is readthrough.com upload your PDF and you will hear it being read. You can use it with your sister and put notes in the screenplay for each other to read. Having a machine perform it, is a way of hear how the world will hear it.

Very relatable feelings, Lungile! The nice thing about Stage 32 is that the community is supportive and we’re all going through a lot of the same experiences and feelings as writers. I’ve found a lot of creative inspiration from folks I’ve met on this platform. Happy writing!

Are you doing it just for yourself - then there’s no pressure - or writing it because you want to sell it, and see it produced? If it’s the latter then I’m afraid you have to put it out there. Yes, we all have nerves about sharing our baby, but show it to people you trust, who know how to read a screenplay.
