Frustrated teenager Corey Stewart finds himself having to fight his way to graduate from Christian Bootcamp, of all places. Between tough as nails trainers, supernatural encounters and an apostate former captain with a serious axe to grind, Corey's understanding of "Vacation Bible School" will never be the same!
SYNOPSIS:
Fourteen-year-old Corey Stewart is not happy about giving up one week of his summer vacation to attend “Christian Bootcamp”, whatever that is. He soon finds out when his parents drop him off at the army base-themed location in the rainforest. He’s introduced to his assigned trainers for the week, the elite Eagle’s Wings Team, whose discipline, maturity and toughness belie their youth. Corey submits to their tutelage as they begin instilling in him the knowledge, wisdom, discipline and determination to live life following Jesus' example.
Between in-depth Bible study and practical, demanding physical exercises based on the Word, Corey learns to respect and appreciate the spiritual power of each piece of armor and how the pieces fit and work together in a believer’s life. But Corey isn’t given the luxury of being trained in peace. Instead, he’s targeted by his trainers’ apostate, highly skilled former captain who’s on a personal mission to prevent Corey from graduating.
As both the training and the attacks intensify, Corey struggles to maintain faith and courage, finally deciding to quit. However, when he realizes that his decision not only affects him but also the Eagle’s Wings Team, he draws upon God's power and Presence to face his fear and resist another attack. Successful, though wounded, Corey is glad that he’ll make it to another civil dawn at Bootcamp, not knowing that his most dangerous fight is yet to come.
