Happy Sunday, Creative Army!

Have you had a creative weekend so far? I have some content here for you that is sure to get the creative juices flowing, so grab your coffee, and let's dive in.

First up, in this video from StudioBinder, they’re explaining Aristotle’s Poetics, one of the earliest examples of literary theory analyzing dramatic storytelling. By understanding Aristotle’s 6 principles- plot, character, thought, diction, spectacle, and song, you’re mastering a guide that if followed can inspire you to tell stories that resonate on a deep human level, making them timeless and ultimately undeniable. In a time when the industry is in a state of constant flux, it’s true craft and story that will shine through and create a path to bringing your script to the screen. Going back to these basics can be necessary to write something that cuts through all of the noise.

The indie box office and feature spec script market have been on fire this summer! This further proves that championing powerful scripts can and will pay off. The specialty box office has been dominated by low-budget films that are making remarkable returns and garnering incredible attention for the creators involved. Learn more in this video!
