Just thought I'd add the book I've just read to the thread. It's an indie book by Brynne Weaver—and it was so much fun. Serial killers in love is my new jive. The story was sensational, the romance melted me, but I did get a little bored at the end. I highly recommend to people who aren't looking for something too seriously written.
Down from my camp in foothills Spain to find these 2 well thumbed books in free pub library. One visceral suspenseful evil other romantic idealist historic drama but both an escape from inane beach conversations.

Recently I watched the 1974 film, CHINATOWN for the umpteenth time. Such a great film. Now I'm reading Sam Wasson's 2020 book, The Big Goodbye: Chinatown and the Last Years of Hollywood. So far it's excellent.

This is a eyewitness account from a 14-17 yr old of the Schindler group.
About the first drug smuggling gang! Fascinating, well-researched book about early drug venture, maybe first of its kind.. If you have any interest in 1900-1925 era drug Dealing/ smuggling,etc., which little has been eritten about, you will love this book.
