With the rise of modern technology and rapid changes in the film industry, how should we adapt classic standards in storytelling and filmmaking? Should we discard some of the traditional principles, or can they be integrated with new technologies? What are the best ways to balance the heritage of classic filmmaking with the advantages of modern innovations?
I’m looking forward to your thoughts and perspectives
You're welcome, Shiva Shekari.

Expand commentIts a directors and producers interpertation of the screenplay. What technology is available, how much is the budget, is there sufficient (below) the line crew near set/location to operate, what are the risks and costs involved in postproduction and on set combined. There are many things to consider, budgetwise and style. Also it might sometimes be very liberating to choose for classic ways of shooting and some crew (like dop hoyte van hoytema) like to stick to celluloid instead of digital - which generally speaking both works fine. To me it all sort of depends on your type of project en style-concept/interpertation.
Ultra useful tool, I just used it to brief the audience and the antagonist, on vedic astrology, 30 sec of graphics, conveying chapters worth of concepts. (also how I made coaching HOF, visual instruction over conventional, Happy Hunting :)

It’s great to see how modern tools and techniques, like using graphics and visual instruction, can effectively convey complex concepts. Integrating these methods with classic storytelling principles can create a compelling and innovative narrative.
In my approach, I also focus on balancing classic standards with new technologies. By preserving core storytelling elements while leveraging modern tools, we can enhance the audience's experience and make our stories more impactful. Combining traditional methods with innovations allows us to respect the heritage of filmmaking while embracing new possibilities.
Happy Hunting

Do any of them make you want to read?
1. A rock star joins a secret government agency that fights demonic possession.
2. A poor student deals drugs to both sides in a local Antifa/Nazi war for tuition money.
3. A teenage girl is haunted by the victims of her prison-warden ancestor.
4. An uptight young woman has to take a job at her parent's goth club after she fails out of law school.
5. A con woman takes a job as assistant to a mysterious consultant who can summon rain.
6. A teenager trades in his Nerf guns for real guns when his town is overrun with monsters.
7. A fastidious scientist accidentally discovers how to speak with dogs.
Thanks in advance!
My main question on all the loglines is "why". Add the motivation.
maybe we need to motivate the audience to watch. Intriguing, interesting stories.
Number 6, that could be a fun idea, it could be a spin on Tremors.
I really like this...

The BGs are similar so the characters will appear to pop on. Panel 2 + 3 is also a jump cut because you cross the 180 degree line. Then panel 3 + 4, you jump the line again. Another jump cut. Visually, the images are very rendered and 'lit' but staging, shot angles and editing are not very good. I am confident that AI will learn and in the near future, there will be little need for a human artist. Sad.
I'm terrible with AI. I can never get it to make anything that looks even close to what I want.

Expand commentJohn Eng, I have to disagree with you. AI is a tool., like a hammer or a saw. Yes, specialized tools can make the work easier, but until any of them attain sentience, they cannot replace us. I use AI as an editing tool and still have to pay rapt attention to keep my dystopian fiction from reading like an accounting report. AI plays to the lowest common denominator. It has to. Anything beyond that requires nuance.
For fun, I have fed some of my stuff into AI video creation programs. I have learned that you have to program in people of color, or they will not exist. Anything that requires a nonhuman character may as well be a lump of clay. Creation of static images, as shown here, can still, as you noted, miss key elements in the description.
Long story short, your job is safe, but you might want to raise your rates to eliminate those who falsely equate what you do with a YouTube video they scanned.
If I may ask..which ai software did you use?
