Excellent presentation. What still sticks in my mind today is the example of BB and the use of the color blue--how such a minute detail like that plays with the mind of the audience.

Expand commentWhat especially stood out for me were two things. First, when C Mack (!) talked about how a writer can present to Netflix, he said that good writers must get an agent but that "the cream always rises to the top", and that's given me hope. The second thing was his recommendation of "Lupin". I watched the series and really enjoyed it. I especially liked the dog who kept barking every time he heard the bad guy's name. That is definitely a writer's touch AND an element that I used in a play I wrote years ago, so it was a tiny sign that I am on the right track.

Hows everyone doing out their work wise?? This strike has definitely hit us pretty hard but it's so necessary for our future as filmmakers. Hope everyone is doing well.

I kind of think outside the box, so the strikes do not really affect me that much. I have never worked for the big studios or major production companies. I have always been in the independent world.

Expand commentThat's really awesome of you @neilwatson to re-activate this discussion. There were tens of thousands of us (and now hundreds of thousands of us) who bonded over watching this television pitch deck webinar we did with Netflix and I'd love to see how everyone is doing now. I know that so many people in our Stage 32 community are heads down writing personal projects they've always wanted to write and making sure other projects are in tip top shape for when the strike lifts. Most important, keep creating. Anything we at Stage 32 can do to help support, we are here for you.
@Eugene - glad to hear you are still creating and wishing you the best of luck on your two features you are shooting!
