Nice one! And good for you. I was a music writer/producer for most of my working life, and very recently (at also a ripe old age, though not being specific here, as you can tell) decided I really wanted to pursue a different creative exploit of mine, screenwriting. So I pretty intensively read and learned, watched and researched the hell out of it and wrote and wrote. Took some projects to the London Screenwriter's Festival last year, which let to my this year getting represented by a top London literary agent! We're just pitching the project he liked best, a TV comedy-drama mini series!

Hi, my name is George and I will move to the UK (Edinburgh) next week. I am looking to meet new people in the industry, make contacts and get to work on cool productions and for cool prod. companies/producers. I have had extensive training and education in Videomaking for the last 10 years. I got a Master's degree (filmmaking) in Hollywood, USA and a Bachelor's in Wales, UK (film &video production). I have also experienced videomaking in Greece and Belgium where I currently live. cheers

Hi all, Wow - there are some amazing success stories here. I am a working music writer/producer with years of experience and only fairly recently took up the role of screenwriter due to a passion-in-waiting. I am now completely obsessed and have been working on a pilot for a new TV series that I am hoping to pitch really soon. I have had some analyses done, with some very very positive feedback, and done several re-writes, all of which have been honing and focusing the script, and now I am very very close to be on the lookout for an agent who may be interested in me and my project/concept/ideas/madness, so I/we can get this happening!! I am keeping it pretty close to my chest, as it's one of those ideas that if I don't do it - someone else will!! But I will say, it is a mystery/drama, featuring a strong lead female character, and has some very humorous as well as shocking, and dramatically bold moments, creating a roller-coaster of a ride! :) If you are an agent - and you're looking for something with a bit of guts... get in touch! Watch out world - I'll be out there soon!!
