Mine would have to be "The Game" 1997
Hello, my friend! So great to find you here. Thanks for the network request. :) How's life on this side of the writing program? (I think I'm still in the process of decompressing.) I started my next project on April 1st, hopefully to be completed by the end of the month. Have you started anything new?
Thanks for sharing this awesome site! Right now I'm spending most of my time looking for an agent, looking for contests, and any other writing gig I can find. I'm doing an outline for a screenplay now that I wish I would have used for class! How's the new writing going?
I've never met Billy Idol, Bono, or Tom Petty; I've never met Frank Frazetta, Salvidor Dali, or Todd McFarlane; I've never met J.R.R. Tolkien, Karl Edward Wagner, or Stephen King. I've never met any of these people, but I absolutely love them through their work. I've never met Clint Eastwood, Sylvester Stallone, or Mel Gibson... but I absolutely love them through their work. I don't care about the personal lens through which artists view the world-- that's their own, personal view and they have every right to have it. I may disagree with their views, but their art is what it is. Mel Gibson's art is of the highest caliber, and I view it for what it is, on its own merits and not upon the worldviews of its creator. The author of this article admits to having become Mr. Gibson's friend, so her motivations for writing this article certainly come from a personal bias to help her friend. But you know what? I don't care. Her arguments are still valid, despite their friendship. Is she acting as his proxy, pleading his case because he won't lower himself to do so? Sure, but again, I don't care. I love MG through his work; I've been a fan since Mad Max. I love Martin Riggs, William Wallace, Porter, and the Gringo. I love The Passion of the Christ and Apocalyptico. Mr. Gibson has made such enormous contributions to film, to enriching the lives of so many through his work. I'll never forgive him for being a human being, because there's nothing in Mel Gibson that needs to be forgiven. Those who judge him and walk around with their noses in the air, those are the people who need to take a good long look at what is in their own hearts, and they are most likely the ones who could benefit the most from forgiveness.

Birdy. Older Nic Cage / Matt Modine film. I’m assuming if you read the book it is based on, the ending wouldn’t be surprising, but it knocked me for a loop.
