I’m over the moon to share that production has officially begun on an indie project I wrote last year: Guardian “Anghells”, which had its first day of shooting yesterday on location in Norfolk, U.K.
Directed and produced by indie filmmaker Andy Blithe of Aturn Films, Guardian Anghells is a mockumentary of biblical proportions: a reluctant Second Coming, a washed-up messenger, and a disgraced demon must pull themselves together to stop a universal reboot—while contending with the rise of a social-media-influencing Antichrist.
Influenced by Peep Show, The Office, What We Do in the Shadows, and Good Omens, this project sets itself apart through its mockumentary lens, its satirical take on influencer culture and “reboots,” and its focus on very human flaws within divine figures. It’s irreverent, contemporary, and above all—fun.
Here's a still from yesterday.
