When an unhappy lawyer decides to scrap everything and start life over, she is desperate to prove to the world that she can live life on her terms - if it kills her. She ironically becomes a life coach to others who have lost the reins on their life (too), all while being in therapy herself.

I know I'm one of thousands, maybe millions, that move out to LA in hopes of a filmmaking career, but everyone is unique and I'd like to meet some of you! Here is a link to my demo reel as well.
Welcome Jacob. Good luck with the move.
That is great Jacob.
Nice variety of shots! Strong reel.

And hoping to film the shorts this summer. Just ended a paid internship as a Production Manager and realized that wasn't for me - way too business mind oriented. So, now I'm currently looking for Director's and Showrunner/Producer's assistant positions, script reading positions or similar roles. Also, putting plans in motion to make the big move West. I have extensive experience working both on set and in offices. I run a blog called Hollywood Archive because I love Old Hollywood. And I am currently sun burnt from a shoot yesterday! :)
Good to see you again, Semira!
Always the same to you, RB! Thank you for the insightful Sunday web chats
My pleasure, Semira! Like to keep the communication rolling...

I have been a member of Stage 32 since March of 2015 when I met RB(Bensonhurst) at the Tribeca Film Festival. If you're new to this fellowship or just coming back you're in the right place. Don't quit till the miracle happens. And if you look at the success stories you will see what I mean. Anyway It's another sweaty Saturday here in Manhattan and I wish everyone a very creative weekend. THE END. ROLL CREDITS. Canarsie OUT!!
That's great! Good for you. As an actor I definitely lean toward comedic roles. And great advice to keep going. The ride is the best part. ;)
Happy Friday. I'm - NYC local actor, writer, long-time marketer, mom, wife- all around happy person. I'm interested in interesting, creative projects both acting and marketing/business alike. Love to hear from you. Cheers!

Expand postHello to all! I'm Jamie K. Kennedy, I write screenplays and recently crowdfunded a new short that I wrote and directed "Voice for the Lonely". It is currently being submitted to film fests all over the country. Few years ago when I finished my first feature script "La to LA", I was young and excited so I took it to Hollywood to pitch to anyone and everyone that would listen. I went door to door trying to tell someone of my ideas and what I bring to the table. After multiple NO's I developed some tough skin and decided to rethink my tactic. I went back home to Austin and took some classes and decided to continue to write and make a couple of short films. I write films that all walks of life can relate to, I like to channel some of my own heartache into my characters and flip the scenario while still channeling the same emotion. When you read or watch one of my films I want you to self reflect and feel a sense of positivity. With every project I do I owe it to myself to learn from my mistakes and grow from them to apply to the next. I will continue on this path and hope to collaborate with others along the way. Keep Forward on your journey. OneBlinkingLight
Good for you!!!

Expand postHullo film lovers! I started down the path making small films about 20 years ago. Like many, I struggled to find a way to do it in a more full-time capacity. Unfortunately, a major health crisis about 10 years ago severely disrupted my progress. But, I've since recovered (after a major surgery) and resumed my exploration of filmmaking a few years ago. My first substantial project since then, now a couple years in the making, is about to play at its first festival in June! More on that later. I'm a writer, producer, director attracted to thoughtful, philosophical stories with intentional tone and pacing. I love stories that deal with the reality of nature, our perception of that reality, and the explorations of our human meaning and significance. My idols are Kubrick, Welles, Hitchcock... and modern filmmakers like Iñárritu, Fincher, Scorsese and del Toro. That current project I mentioned? It's a short film that pays homage to Rod Serling and the original Twilight Zone called The Recursion Theorem. It's a mostly black and white film that explores the inherent value hidden in Sisyphean tasks. The entire film takes place in one location, with only one actor. We had trouble finding an old mansion to shoot in that we could afford on our micro budget, so I designed and lead construction on a physical set built in a warehouse that we rented for a month! That's the type of creativity and ingenuity I bring to all my projects! My real talents are in being able to have a vision for what a project needs to be successful, develop a plan to get there, anticipate and problem solve the obstacles that will come into play, and work together with cast and crew to reach that vision together as a team. I believe strongly in collaboration, and helping people grow stronger in their talents and in their own pursuits. What I'm looking for here, is to find some like-minded individuals willing to back and support my efforts. Not necessarily financially, though that help is always welcome. See, I've never had the advantage of having a parent or teacher or friend or mentor who was in my corner, lending their support and encouragement. It's made it a struggle to follow my ideas and passions. But, that is the great thing about networking with others in venues such as this... connecting with those who share our ideas, passions and dreams. We get a chance to find support in one another. So, here I am. Thanks for reading this far. You can find out more about The Recursion Theorem at http://www.RecursionTheorem.com or http://www.facebook.com/RecursionTheorem - and please follow me on Twitter @sledgeweb http://www.twitter.com/sledgeweb for more updates on Recursion and other filmmaking resources. And if you have any advice or might want to support any of my future works or have ideas on how I might be able to get Recursion to a wider audience, please connect with me here on Stage 32 and let me know! If you are a writer interested in similar genres, I have many stories I want to tell and am always up for collaboration with writers. Thanks again, Ben
Forgot to mention, I'm in the DC area but willing to travel to work on good projects!
Good for you! Keep going your thing. If you ever need help with a film or looking for Actor's in NYC give me a shout

Expand postJust saying hello to the Stage 32 community. I have been a part of Stage 32 since September 2015 and have really been encouraged by the people I've met. I've had some deeply enriching conversations with fellow members. I'm currently working on my début feature "Seeing Rachel" and we've set up the social media feeds as we work through the development phase. We've just shot part of the teaser trailer, an aerial sequence and have launched the website. Seeing Rachel is an intense, psychological noir crime drama, focusing on trafficking and organised crime. It's my passion to create films about human rights and social justice, but through the lens of the psychological drama. Every story about the subject doesn't have to be didactic, or a 'campaign' film, in case you're thinking I'm somehow limiting myself to a turgid genre. We're growing our on-line audience, as we know how important 'digital tracking' is to the current distribution market. We'd be thrilled if the Stage 32 community would help us, by paying a visit to the website, signing up to the email service and doing the usual following and liking of the various feeds. Thanks, Geoff Here goes: http://www.seeingrachelmovie.co.uk/
That's great. So you ever film in the states?
Greetings Dara. Thank you for your kind words. There'll be updates as things unfold. Please check out the website too. Best Wishes, Geoff
Hi Joelene, sorry, no we don't film in the States...not just yet!
Hi, I am a California based production manger, event producer by profession, and screenwriter in my free time. Check out my logline for my most recent screenplay, IKEALAND on my profile. Looking for producers interested in a fun Dramedy with unlimited possibilities.
OMG...I would LOVE to see IKEALAND get made. What a wonderfully fresh and hilarious idea! I'm not a producer, but if there's anything I can do to help spread the word, let me know! :-)
Thanks Dara! me too. :) I just need to keep pitching and get the right person to read it.
Keep pitching! Happy to spread the word as well.

How pleasant can this be, when a screenwriter or a story teller meets with a producer.
The answer is in between but more like a producer affairs.
